1) How to block off your choke points to prevent rushing: This can be a huge detriment to the players who are trying to rush you. The easiest way to do it is to build your supply depots at the choke point at your base. Since they can lower into the ground so that you can let your ground troops by they will not get into your way, only block that rush at the beginning. Do not however forget that there are some rush tactics that don’t use the front door so to speak, such as reapers who can jump up and down cliffs and will go straight for the base or workers without even going near the choke point.
2) Using reapers to get behind enemy lines. This goes hand in hand with the last sentence of number 1. You can bet that the enemy will think that you’re coming in the front door, and you will be. Take some marines to their foor door and harass them while you take the reapers to the back and take out their worker units, or maybe even their base if you have time and they aren’t paying attention. I don’t know how many games this has won me, but it works.
3) Siege Tanks. While the tanks are really powerful in tank mode, putting them in siege mode makes them very deadly versus groups of enemies. Siege tanks in siege mode deal area of effect damage and can shoot up cliffs. They make a great back up for your ground units in events like that where you are trying to storm the enemies base but they have too many ranged units on a cliff. Get some siege tanks out there and blow them up before they can even see you!
